| Provides a convenient, cost-effective method of placing telephone and fax
calls and avoids high pay phone or hotel surcharges. "GLOBALTEL DIRECT DIAL"
offers "originating" access from more than 150 countries and
"terminating" access to call every country in the world. (please refer to the
MegaCom and USA Direct access list) Due to international restrictions, AT&T and most other major carriers are prohibited from providing telephone service "from a non-U.S. location to another non-U.S. location". In other words, they can only provide the ability to call the U.S. such as AT&T's USA DIRECT PROGRAM. GLOBALTEL DIRECT DIAL utilizes AT&T and SPRINTS's existing high quality networks to transfer your calls to GLOBALTEL's own U.S. based switch where the call is re-routed with an advanced least cost routing switch connected to many low cost international carriers. To use "GLOBALTEL DIRECT DIAL" service, customers are issued a personal identification number (PIN). Then, from any touch tone telephone, the user dials a toll-free access number from the country they are calling from (each country has its own unique access number, see listing attached). Upon hearing the acknowledgment signal, they enter their PIN and dial the telephone number desired and are connected within seconds. Speed dial options allows companies to pre-program their frequently dialed telephone and fax numbers and "users" can be restricted to only call back to the designated numbers to control telephone budgets. The system has a total of 96 speed dial positions available. This service also has a MailBox option, which is accessible from any country in the world.
